What is Life Coaching?

A Coach is someone who helps you develop insight so you can create a
life inspired by your values and dreams. Understanding how the mind works is essential to creat-ing a meaningful life. It takes willingness to do this work.
It's an active partnership between you and the coach. You commit to
the plan and are responsible for taking action. Throughout the process the coach supports you, motivates you, and holds you accountable to achieve your vision for yourself. Coaching is a partnership that enables you to accomplish more than you could on your own.

What Can I expect in a coaching session?
Coaching with Suzanne is insightful. It is a time for you to take stock of your life and look deeply at your thoughts, feelings and behavior. While working with Suzanne you will discover the areas of your life that are deeply important to you (values). Values are like a compass directing and leading you in a direction you want to go. Discovering your values on your own can be difficult, but with Suzanne you will be lead through exercises that reveal your values. You will then create intentions and goals that are in line with your values and not someone else’s. You begin to move in the direction of a meaningful life that matches your dreams.
Coaching sessions are approximately one hour in length and can be conducted by telephone or in-person. The first session is a time to gather information and identify the problem or what the client would like to change. Following sessions involve creating a plan, identifying values and learning helpful exercises to support you in creating a meaningful life. Coaching is very action oriented and the client must be willing to work toward goals while receiving on-going support throughout the time of coaching. The nature of coaching is very motivating and supportive.

Do I have to do yoga to work with Suzanne?
No. Life coaching is located at The Yoga Place. It is separate from the Yoga Program. Many clients enjoy doing yoga, meditation and relaxation but it is not a requirement for Life Coaching. They are separate services.
Fee Structure.
The cost for coaching is $70 per session. Number of sessions required is up to the client. Some people prefer weekly appointments for accountability, while others meet on an “as needed” basis. The goal of coaching is to have the client create the change and move forward in a direction of well-being and balance. It is not to get “stuck in” or dependent on the process. In fact, this is one of the reasons why coaching has become so popular. It is about change and moving forward so you don’t need the coach.
