What is Life Coaching? Coaching is a professional service providing clients with feedback, insights and guidance from an outside vantage point. A Coaching session can be insightful, inspiring and even fun! It isn’t counseling or therapy. The focus of life coaching is change in everyday living for a more fulfilling life. We look at where you are today and where you want to be and the changes you need to make to get there. We create a plan and then as the coach, I hold you accountable for that change. Coaching is a partnership that enables you to accomplish more than you could on your own. As partners we uncover limiting beliefs and replace them with beliefs of intention for balance and well-being.
Why would I hire a coach? There are many different reasons why someone might hire a coach. Anxiety, tension, feelings of being overwhelmed and uncertain about your future. Major decisions about relationships, jobs and health. Sometimes it is for accountability for a project or life style change like losing weight or clearing a house of clutter. Others choose a coach as support through a difficult time like the loss of a job or the ending of a relationship. Some are seeking a more spiritual life but don’t know where to begin. So whether you want to make a career change, feel dissatisfied with your life, or are looking for a personal breakthrough, coaching might just be what you need.
What Can I expect in a coaching session? Coaching sessions are approximately one hour in length and can be conducted by telephone or in-person. The first session is a time to gather information and identify the problem or what the client would like to change. A plan is created and then carried out by the client. Clients can expect to receive on-going support through out the time of coaching with emails and brief phone calls.
Fee Structure. The cost for coaching is $50 per session. Number of sessions required is up to the client. Some people prefer weekly appointments for accountability, while others meet on an “as needed” basis. The goal of coaching is to have the client create the change and move forward in a direction of well-being and balance. It is not to get “stuck in” or dependent on the process. In fact, this is one of the reasons coaching has become so popular. It is about change and moving forward so you don’t need the coach.
